Founded in 2012, Global General Trade is a Cape Town-based construction company specialising in multi-trade services across the Southern African region and the United States of America (USA). We directly employ and collaborate with highly skilled professionals, driving excellence across every project we undertake.

Our company was established to address a significant gap in the construction industry — the need for a reliable, single construction partner capable of delivering comprehensive, multi-specialist services. Today, GGT provides expertise in design and construction, engineering, refurbishment, general building maintenance, and framework contracting, alongside specialist mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), fire protection, and strategic infrastructure services across multiple sectors.

Commercial Director
Ben leads Global General Trade’s strategic direction and growth, drawing on 20 years of construction industry experience. Prior to joining Global General Trade Ben Lutumba was the Commercial Director for Project Solutions. He has held a range of commercial and operational leadership roles and his experience spans all aspects of building and civil engineering, Maintenance and Electrical projects.
